We can tune Guitar with the help of pitch pipe, electronic tuners, software’s available online. The best way to tune the Guitar is manual tuning. There is no need to depend on anything to tune a Guitar.

I agree it is a bit difficult to tune a Guitar manually however it is the best way. We need to train our ears to recognize the correct notes. Following are some steps that we need to learn how to tune Guitar manually.

  1. Tune first string to E with the help of any other instrument like synthesizer, pitch pipe. Play E note on any instrument and match the sound with the first string of Guitar. Make sure that E note on the instrument and Guitar should sound identical.
  2. Press A note on the fifth fret of first string and play 5th string openly. Match the sound of A note with the 5th string. These notes should sound identical. Now you have 1st and 5th strings tuned.
  3. Press G note on the third fret of first string and play 3rd string openly. Match the sound of G note with the third string. Now we have 1st, 5th and 3rd stings tuned.
  4. Place your finger on the second fret of the fifth string and match the note with the second string played openly. This will get us second string tuned and the note that is being played is B.
  5. Press the third fret of second string (that is D) and match the note with the fourth string played openly. This will tune the fourth string.
  6. The only string that is left is sixth string. Play sixth and the first string openly and try to match the sound. These two strings are same notes of different octaves. When these notes will be matched, we will be having our Guitar tuned.

Check the tuning of your Guitar by playing any chord. It should give us clear sound. If it is not sounding clear then please make slight movements in tuning keys to match the notes again. I would recommend you to practice tuning Guitar manually till the time you are not getting perfect in this.

I agree that initial phase is difficult because in that phase we normally discover our interest. People leave playing Guitar in first 2 months of learning, as they are short of patience however they forget that nothing can be done overnight. When it becomes our passion, we are masters!

According to my experience, it is not at all difficult to play Guitar. It requires patience. You can meet a lot of Guitar players who can play Guitar however they cannot play with Guitar. There are a lot of players and instruments in this world however everyone has a different essence. This divine universe contains seven tones and these tones give serenity to world. People say! These tones are made of seven eternal forces. According to Bible it is known as inner music. This is why music played by one artist cannot be played the same way irrespective of the fact there are 7 notes only.

According to me Music is a divine power that can change your world. That can make you feel “Nirvana”. You can find a lot of Guitarists in the world however it’s difficult to find a Musician. I feel, even listening to music is an art. Nobody can listen, one kind of music. Everyone has its own taste. Some people are influenced by traditional music and some are not. What I can say, taste of music defines the personality of a human being.

The music of nature is the first step to music of art. Indian music is, in the highest sense, pantheistic; but at the same time it is highly scientific. In India, Aryans are ones who actually felt the eternity in music of nature and then converted it into the melody and the harmony and both combines into a great common mother. They discovered that we can feel music in the murmur of waters, in the roar of the storming ocean, and even in the distant roll of a great city.

Music becomes elixir if it is an overflow from one’s Spiritual Heart.

Today I am going to explain about the Guitar scales and I will be adding videos as well so that you can learn the finger patterns of scales also. Make sure you will practice one lesson first and then go to the next one. We can never learn music overnight. So we have to be patient in learning music.Scale is defined as the universal combination of notes. Every scale has a root note from where it starts and it ends too. We have a lot of scales in the music like (Major scales, Minor scales, Harmonic scales, Pentatonic scales, Blues scales, seventh scales and so on). We will be learning one by one and I will make sure that a day will come when you will be playing guitar amazingly.

These scales will not be Guitar specific, however we can play these scales on any instrument but notes should be the same. The style of playing these scales will be different in different kinds of music and we will learn in the coming lessons.

The names of the different notes in a specific scale are:

First note: Tonic

Second note: Supertonic

Third note: Mediant

Fourth note: Subdominant

Fifth note: Dominant

Sixth note: Submediant

Seventh note: Leading Tone
